
Sarah McLachlan was born on Jan 28, 1968 in Halifax, Nova Scotia of Canada. As a child, she took voice lessons along with classical piano and guitar. All her songs tell about love and loss.
1997, her best selling album 'Surfacing' brings Sarah to the top of her career, debuting at number one or number two on the Top 40 charts in many countries.
In 1999, she won the Grammy Award 'Best Female Pop Vocal Performance' by the song 'I Will Remember you'.
In 2001, Sarah lost her mother to cancer while she found herself pregnant.
In 2003, Sarah returned to public life and touring with her 2003 album release, Afterglow.
